Acroaria is maybe the most beautiful location of the World Aerobatics Tour. Since 2001, the best acro pilots of the world get togather to present their best performance in Omegna, over the beautiful Orta lake.
The city of Omegna is situated in thespectacular countryside of Northern Italy, 90km far from Milan and 50 km from the swiss border. The contest consists of a solo and a synchro competition as well. The pilots take-off from the Mottarone peak (1420 m ASL) and they can reach the lake quite high, sometimes at about 1000 meters. The raft is placed in the entrance of a small bay, which is completely surrounded by the city what gives a really speciel feeling both for the competitors and the spectators from all around.
This competition is a station of the World Aerobatics Tour (WAT).
